It appears as though Buzz & Bites is planning to bring a second coffee shop to the Houston area, this time to Katy. Buzz & Bites currently has one location in operation in Houston’s Spring Branch neighborhood at 1444 Blalock Rd.
According to a recent project filing, the latest addition to the brand will be located at 23445 Kingsland Blvd., Ste. 100 in Katy. A buildout on the 3,0000-square-foot space will include a new kitchen area, a dining and bar area, as well as an office, new ceilings, and a new restroom, the filing stated.
Sisters Rosalyn Ros and Tida Sok first opened Buzz & Bites as a place to study or work with a cup of coffee or enjoy a meal with friends and family. The brand’s website states a new menu is coming soon, but for now, guests can enjoy a variety of coffee drinks, plus sweet and savory food dishes.
The food menu includes bakes goods such as croissants, muffins, cookies, brownies, and more. You can grab a brunch option or choose from a variety of bagels, as well as sandwiches, paninis, burgers, and salads.
The drink menu includes espresso, organic coffee, iced coffee, tea, lemonade, smoothies, and more. A couple of Buzz & Bites favorites are the Buzz Lavender with honey and lavender, and the Tex Pecan with pecan syrup.
There’s no official word on when the Buzz & Bites Katy location will open, but according to the project filing, construction could wrap up sometime in late summer of 2023.
