Crepes of Brittany! is making its debut in Montgomery at 19786 Hwy 105 W #100. The restaurant, helmed by Navy veteran Dan McKaughan and his wife Stacie, will be the first-ever licensed location of the popular Crepes of Brittany! from Monterey, California. Unlike typical franchises, this Montgomery location enjoys a unique setup, with access to the original recipes, menus, and branding while maintaining some creative freedom.

McKaughan’s connection to the brand is personal. After serving 20 years in the Navy, his final duty station was in Monterey, where he and his family frequently dined at Crepes of Brittany!, owned by close friends Thierry and Daniel. “It was one of the no-joke 3 or 4 restaurants that we ate at when we went out while we were there,” McKaughan shared. His deep connection to the restaurant and its owners made the decision to bring Crepes of Brittany to Montgomery an easy one. The idea gained traction during a visit from Thierry in March 2023 when the two friends discussed expansion over a fishing trip on Lake Conroe.
For the McKaughans, this venture is about more than just great food; it’s a homecoming and a chance to give back to their community. Both Dan and Stacie grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery High School. “It only made sense for us to share these crepes with our hometown,” McKaughan explained, highlighting their desire to serve Montgomery in ways beyond simply providing delicious crepes.
As the restaurant prepares for its grand opening this Fall 2024, the McKaughans are looking forward to offering locals a taste of authentic French crepes while infusing their own Texan flair, continuing the Crepes of Brittany legacy in a new location.
