“We have the Willy Burger right there at the same shopping center, and we love being in Old Katy. We feel like we’re part of the community,” said Dallon James, CEO of Neches Restaurant Group, which owns Crown Pizza, Willy Burger, and other restaurant concepts.

“We like to support the school right across the street, Katy High School, and the surrounding neighborhoods. We think that’s just a perfect place,” James told What Now Houston. He wants the Katy Crown Pizza to be a neighborhood hangout. “We’re a family-owned business. We like to support families. We like to support the community.”

Everything is made from scratch at Crown Pizza. “My favorite of the pizzas is the Boogie on the Bayou, which is our boudin pizza.” That pizza features a cream cheese base topped with boudin and mozzarella. James said it’s great with a side of Crown Pizza’s house-made spicy ranch.

Or, you can try Mr. Voo Doo, which features a house-made Louisiana étouffée sauce, crawfish tails, Italian fennel sausage, mozzarella, green onions, Serrano pepper, and three fried frog legs. Other unique pizzas, wings, salads, and desserts are also available. You can enjoy a beer and wine with your meal.

“We’re just excited to get going. We love having Willy Burger there in Katy. We love the community, and we hope to be able to support the community in the same way through Crown Pizza as we do through Willy Burger.”

They are currently in the planning process working on the interior design and are purchasing furniture. James hopes to open the Katy location sometime next month.

A new Crown Pizza website recently launched giving diners a simple way to check out the menu and order online. Neches Restaurant Group is about to start franchising Crown Pizza and Willy Burger. They are also in the process of building a food hall on the Neches River in Port Neches. “We’re going to have all those different concepts in that food hall,” James shared. “We are trying to move as fast as we can.”
