Kahve Coffee is opening a drive-thru shop in Missouri City this fall. Onur Kose and his wife, Begum, first opened Kahve Coffee in Victoria. The Missouri City location at 5405 Highway 6, Ste. 100 will be their second coffee shop, but they plan to open more across the Greater Houston area in the future.

They initially wanted to move to the Houston area to open more coffee shops, but then COVID hit. “We changed our concept to a drive-thru only shop, and then it worked out very well,” Kose said. “People can quickly get in line, get out, and then just get on with their days. We promise them time. Time is very valuable for everybody, and we want to make sure that everybody comes in and out very quickly.”

Kahve Coffee will also offer online ordering for efficiency. “Fast, efficient, but not in a robotic way. We want to make sure that everybody is pleased with the service and the attitude at the window,” Kose said.

“It’s very, very important that we contribute to people’s days in a positive way,” Kose told What Now Houston. “Life is hard for everybody in their own ways,” he shared, “so, we just want to make sure that we add something positive.”

Besides the positive attitudes, the coffee also draws customers. Kahve Coffee’s best sellers are the caramel frappe and the iced caramel macchiato made with natural cold brew. “It’s a lot more flavorful, and it just tastes better.” They also offer other blended frappes such as the Oreo frappe. Hot drinks include Americano, mocha, Irish cream flavors, and more.

Kahve Coffee also offers the Kahve Special from Turkey called Salep. “That mix is vanilla, cinnamon, and orchid roots, all grounded into powder. Normally in Turkey, you mix it with milk, you boil it, and that’s how you drink it. Here as a special, we add espresso in it. It’s like a latte, but it’s like the smoothest drink you’ll ever taste probably. It’s like velvet in your mouth.”

If you’re hungry, you can grab a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit or a muffin for breakfast. While you’re there, you can grab a sandwich for lunch, too. Kahve Coffee offers vegetarian, turkey with a jalapeno-popper sauce, rosemary-rubbed ham, and other sandwich selections.

Kose’s goal is to open 10 to 15 other locations across the Greater Houston area and then grow nationwide. “We’re going to change the way people know coffee. We’re going to make sure we are a good addition to the existing foodie city. We love being here.”
