Niko Niko’s Greek & American Cafe, a beloved family-owned restaurant, is thrilled to announce the opening of its fourth location at the former Luby’s site on 922 Lake Front Cir, The Woodlands, TX 77380. Owner Dimitri Fetokakis, who took over the business in 1994, shared his excitement about the expansion and the plans for the new location in a recent conversation.
“Everyone has been wanting us to come to The Woodlands for a few years now ever since we had a pop-up there during the pandemic,” Fetokakis told What Now Houston.
Since its humble beginnings in 1977, Niko Niko’s has become a cherished destination for authentic Greek and American cuisine. With each location, the restaurant’s popularity has grown exponentially, leading to the much-anticipated opening of the fourth establishment in The Woodlands.
To help facilitate the growth and success of the business, Dimitri Fetokakis is bringing on two cousins as partners. The addition of their expertise and shared passion for the restaurant will contribute to the continued excellence of Niko Niko’s.
Although the restaurant’s brand will remain the same, the location will have the added benefit of a drive-thru and curbside pickup hybrid option for the first time. To-go orders will have a seperate entrance as well.
Adding to the unique dining experience, the new location will feature a stand connected to the front counter. Inspired by traditional tortilla stands, this action station will serve Niko Niko’s famous Loukoumades, otherwise known as Greek honey balls.
The target opening timeframe for the new location is set for the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
