Lick Honest Ice Creams is available in H-E-B stores across the area and has storefronts in several Texas cities including Austin and San Antonio. Its first Houston spot is expected to open at 3737 Cogdell St. in the mixed-use development, Autry Park. What Now Houston earlier reported that the first planned Houston location could open in early 2023, according to licensing information.

Founded by Chad Palmatier and Anthony Sobotik in Austin in 2011, Lick Honest Ice Creams offers a variety of scratch-made flavors such as Coffee with Cream, Fresh Mint & Chocolate Chunk, and Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean by the scoop in a cup or waffle cone. “All of the milk and cream used to make our ice creams comes from family owned dairies in Texas and Wisconsin; and everything from the sauces, syrups, cookies, cakes and marshmallows is made by hand in our kitchen,” stated the brand’s website.

The shops also feature seasonally-inspired flavors, ice cream sandwiches, and vegan and dairy-free ice creams. Lick Honest Ice Creams is committed to sustainability and uses cups, spoons, and napkins that are compostable. The brand also supports local communities through fundraising efforts, donations, and volunteering.
