Local Foods’ original location in Rice Village is one of four current Houston spots. Others are located in Tanglewood, The Heights, and the Upper Kirby District. Local Foods has one location in the 2nd Street District in Austin.

Local Foods offers a seasonal menu with dishes that highlight fresh and locally sourced proteins, vegetables, and breads. The brand works with local farmers, growers, and purveyors “to source products with integrity and flavor, which results in honest, straightforward food,” stated the restaurant’s Facebook page.

The Local Foods menu showcases artisan sandwiches, salads, sides, and soups. Wine and beer are also featured.

The new Local Foods restaurant will be located at 1751 Post Oak Blvd. in Houston. The project filing states the nearly 6,000-square-foot space will undergo an interior and exterior remodel.
