Milk Mustache owner Tracy Jones told What Now Houston they are waiting on inspections but hope to open in mid-November. They are planning a grand opening event that will take place over a couple of days. “One thing that we are looking at doing,” she said, “is making sure we find some way in that grand opening event to honor the Alzheimer’s Association.”

In October of 2020, Jones opened the first Milk Mustache location at 13718 Office Park Dr. in Houston during the Pandemic. The new store will differ from the original location. “The first location actually is our cookie factory,” Jones said. “It’s dedicated to our production. It’s where we bake everything from scratch. We do new product development. We ship all over the U.S. from there. We have our team of bakers, so you walk in, you smell the smells, you meet the bakers.”

At the original location, guests can also order cookies on-site, but the new storefront is a dedicated retail location. “It’s much bigger.” They will still bake cookies on-site at the new location, but it will also include a new feature—an edible cookie dough bar.

“Cookies come in all different shapes, sizes, and tastes, right? And at Milk Mustache, we truly do specialize in cookies,” Jones said. Milk Mustache makes everything from scratch including the caramel sauces and frostings.

Jones wants to ensure that each cookie is a wonderful experience for guests. The cookies are all-natural and made from premium ingredients. “What also sets us apart is the texture. So, at Milk Mustache, we really focus on baking it to perfection.” The cookies have a crunchy exterior but are soft and dense on the inside, where Jones said you can find the “sweet spot.”

Flavors include Pumpkin Spice Latte, Chocolate Turtle Pecan, Nutella Dream, Red Velvet Cream Cheese, plus mini chocolate chip cookies and others flavors. Jones is excited about opening around the holidays because they will offer creative, seasonal cookies. “We also just featured a fabulous Astros custom cookie cake,” she said.

“We are over the moon excited,” Jones said. “We can’t wait to have the community to come in and experience all of the delicious sweet treats we have to offer. We’re counting the days.”
