Mon Cheri Macarons is planning to open a second location—this time at Shepherd Square in Houston. “I’m super, super excited but nervous and scared at the same time, but I think with my family, friends, and community support, everything will be great,” said Sherry Shao, owner of Mon Cheri Macarons.
Shao officially established Mon Cheri Macarons out of her home kitchen in 2012. Shao developed her own recipes and opened the first location at 1912 Wescott Ave., Ste. 228 in Sugar Land in March of 2019.
Shao told What Now Houston she wanted to open a second location because customers were traveling up to an hour to purchase Mon Cheri Macarons treats. “I figured I need to open somewhere that’s central in Houston, where everybody can have easy access to our delicious macarons.”
Mon Cheri Macarons offers several dozen flavors. “A flavor for everybody. We have classic flavors to Asian-inspired to seasonal flavors, just very unique and different flavors. Probably the largest selection in Texas,” Shao explained. Customers can also have the macarons shipped nationwide.
The new space at 2055 Westheimer Rd., Ste. 115 in Houston will need some remodeling and furnishings before it can open to the public. Shao hopes to open sometime in the fall of 2022. “I’m just really excited and can’t wait to announce our grand opening, so everybody can visit us and taste our yummy treats.”
