Zach Harris, the owner of Drift Bar in Houston, is opening a brand-new bar in the Heights later this fall. The new bar, called Heights Social, will be located at 1213 W 20th St, right next door to Drift. This new bar will be 8,500 sq ft and feature espresso martinis, cocktails on tap, a full kitchen, happy hour specials, and brunch on the weekends. For those who like a little Napoleonic panache with their drinks, champagne sabering will be offered as well.

Drink offerings will include flavored old fashioneds and cocktail shots to go along with the martinis. Food items will include thin crust pizza, appetizers, and charcuterie. Brunch and champagne service, including the aforementioned sabering, will be available on weekends. DJs will provide late night entertainment as well.

Harris Hospitality and Cory Decuire designed the bar’s décor. There will be automated lighting, skylights, a 40-foot LED wall, and a 101-inch chandelier that hangs over a fountain in an atrium area. According to a recent press release, Harris also has plans to open more businesses, including live music venues and a new Drift location in the near future.
