Pearland Could Become New Home of Torchy’s Tacos

You can grab a margarita and a couple of tacos, hopefully, in early 2023!

It looks like Torchy’s Tacos is headed to Pearland! According to a state project filing, Torchy’s would be located at 2800 E. Broadway Street, Suite P in Pearland. The interior finish-out on the nearly 4,200-square-foot space could be completed in January of 2023, but there is no official word on when the Pearland Torchy’s might open to the public.

Torchy’s offers a variety of tacos including the Trailer Park with fried chicken and all the fixings, the Crossroads featuring smoked beef brisket, and the Baja Shrimp. Queso, salads, sides, margaritas, and more are also offered.

Mike Rypka started Torchy’s as a food truck in Austin back in 2006. Torchy’s has about 75 locations across the state of Texas, according to the brand’s website, with others in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, and other states.

Torchy’s is involved in various philanthropic efforts including MD Anderson, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Phoenix House. “A portion of the proceeds from every Taco of the Month goes towards these causes,” stated the website.
