Kids and adults alike will have a new place to play in Katy later this year. Slick City Action Park is planning to move into Katy Mills.
Slick City offers numerous attractions for multiple ages including indoor slides and sports courts. A soft play area is designed for younger children. Attractions for the older youth and adults include the Launch Slide, Scoop Slide, and Drop Slide. Competitors can try to get their win on the Race Slide. Air courts provide space to jump and dunk on the basketball goal.
Three vacant spaces at Katy Mills will be combined to create the new space for Slick City. A new food concession area offering hot food options such as pizza, plus snacks, candy, and beverages will also be added. Construction could wrap up sometime this summer, according to a recent project filing, and Slick City in Katy could open to the public in fall of 2023.
The Katy location will be the first for Slick City in Texas. Bron Launsby founded Slick City, which now has two locations in operation—one in Colorado and a second in Missouri.
