This new restaurant will be located at 3434 Highway 6 S in the former Luby’s building. For Asian food lovers, this will also be in front of a 99 Ranch Market. Volcano Hot Pot and BBQ is currently in its renovation phase. “We started in February,” Jiang said. “We are now in the middle of the construction.”

Volcano Hot Pot and BBQ is known for its hot pot tables where customers cook their own food. Customers choose a soup base, then pick their own protein, vegetables, and other items from a buffet. The meal is then brought to a boil at the table and served hot. “We have everything fresh,” Jiang said. “You cook it in the hot pot on the table with different kind of flavors of sauce.”

This will be the chain’s first Texas location. A second Volcano Hot Pot and BBQ will follow in Carrollton as well. There are also locations in Florida and Pennsylvania.
