The Cause Urban Winery was created by Jennifer Rossi, who began studying wine back in 2016. She developed homemade wine in 2019 and later began selling her beverages commercially. Because of Rossi’s passion for the community, “A portion of every bottle sold will benefit a specific local charity,” the company’s website stated.

“I’m very excited. It is going to take some time to get it up and running, but it is a dream of mine to have an urban winery and one that highlights and focuses on Texas wine,” Rossi, found and wine maker, told What Now Houston.

They are working on permitting, and she hopes to open sometime in 2023. “The ultimate goal is to have a space for people to come and do tastings. I think it will evolve over time as we grow. I would love to have light bites,” Rossi said.

The Urban Cause Winery’s first wine is available in limited quantities for purchase online. “If someone wants to explore new Texas wine, check out my website.”

Four of her commercial wines will be available for sale online this summer. The Cause Urban Winery offers petite sirah, viognier, tannat, and others. The Cause Urban Winery also plans to sell wines from “several Texas winery friends in the future so that you can experience all the amazingness that Texas wine has to offer,” stated the brand’s website.
