Wild Concepts is making plans to open a new Wild Coffee Bar and Dispensary in Montrose later this summer. Wild Managing Partner, Adyson Alvis confirmed to What Now Houston that the new location is almost ready to go. “Were hoping to get open here August 1st, so a late summer opening,” Alvis said. “We’re super excited to join the Montrose neighborhood. This has been a neighborhood we’ve been working on to try to find a space for quite a while.”

The new Wild will be located at 1609-1625 Westheimer Rd in the former Jimmy Chew Asian Kitchen location. According to Alvis, the renovation process is nearly complete. They are currently purchasing equipment and have started the hiring process.

This will be Wild’s third Houston location, after Wild Heights and Grinders, which also features a dispensary. According to Alvis, the new Montrose offering will be similar to the original location, with the addition of a full kitchen. “It’s going to be similar to our Heights location,” he said. “It is going to be a coffee bar, a high-end cocktail bar, and a dispensary for all hemp products. And then we are also— since, of course, we have that full amazing kitchen there— we are going to be doing a full menu, which will be a new addition for us.”

The menu hasn’t been fully decided on yet but will feature tapas style small plates. “The actual type of food itself we are still pretty early in the process on,” Alvis said.
