Katy is going tropical this summer with the opening of Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade at Katy Mills. Franchise owner Premkumarie Layeeq has confirmed the news of the opening to What Now Houston. “The one in Katy should be opening up the end of July, the first of August,” Layeeq said. “We got the lease for the location on the boardwalk by Katie Mills the end February. We have been in the process of building the store since then.” The restaurant will be located at 25220 Kingsland Blvd Suite 300.

The business serves fresh pressed lemonade, acai bowls, superfood smoothies, coffee, tea, salads, and sandwiches. “It’s a healthy store and we should be coming shortly,” Layeeq said. “We want people to come and enjoy it.”

Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade first started as a small business popping up in farmers markets and night markets around Oahu in 2012. They eventually grew into a brick and mortar lemonade stand in Kihei, Maui. The fresh lemonade chain now operates in eight U.S. states and has two locations in Japan. Keeping to their roots, the chain continues to do business in farmers markets in each new city they open in.

The Katy Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade even began as a series of popups at local schools and home & garden shows. “We want people to come enjoy it because we’ve been doing a couple of popups,” Layeeq said. “We got a very good response.”

In addition to the Katy branch, Layeeq is also planning to open a Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade in Houston around the end of August or the beginning of September. The chain will also open locations in Dallas and San Antonio soon.
