Zalat Pizza plans to open inside multiple Houston area Kroger stores. The first is set to begin serving pizzas to customers for pickup or delivery this Friday, October 21 inside the Kroger at Cypress Towne Lake Marketplace, according to a press statement. A second Kroger location for Zalat Pizza is tentatively set to open sometime this December at 341 S Loop 336 W in Conroe.
Zalat Pizza focuses on innovative and unique toppings in addition to its traditional pizzas of cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the Zealot, which is Zalat’s supreme pizza. One unique pizza includes the Sweet Revenge, which is topped with bacon and onion jam, hot honey, mozzarella, salami, and fresh basil. You can also try Nashville Hot Chicken and Pickles or Chicken Teriyaki. Several dipping sauces such Srirancha (Sriracha and ranch), marinara, and blue cheese ranch are available. Zalat Pizza also provides vegan and gluten-free options, plus a variety of salads.
In 2015, founder Khanh Nguyen opened the first Zalat Pizza in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, where the chain now has about two dozen restaurants. Zalat Pizza has multiple locations across the Houston area, and more are planned to open inside Kroger grocery stores in 2023.
