Ali and Wadhwani currently operate two successful locations and are no strangers to the brand’s potential. Their first Spring location opened in January 2023, quickly followed by the Antoine site in June 2023. Their passion for the brand is clear. “Golden Chick has been around for 50+ years in Texas, but the growth of the brand in Houston has been obsolete. I personally love the product! Great quality and a vast menu with a dedicated corporate team,” Ali added.

Ali and Wadhwani’s Spring location has recently been designated a training store for Houston, highlighting their commitment to excellence. “Our Spring Location has recently become a training store for Houston! Which means that every Golden Chick manager has to be first trained by our company for a month in a rigorous training program. I believe training is vastly important in a restaurant as the customers and job market are anything but static,” Ali explained. He emphasized that frequent training is not a sign of inadequacy but a best practice to keep team members updated with industry trends, skill development, and better teamwork.

The duo’s aggressive expansion plans don’t stop here. “We are very aggressive with the brand and have 3 more locations in the pipeline for the following year!” Ali revealed. With their proven track record and dedication to quality, the new Golden Chick on S. Sam Houston Pkwy is poised to become a favorite among Houstonians, continuing the legacy of the cherished Texas brand.

The upcoming Golden Chick location will be a significant investment, with an estimated cost of $450,000 for new construction, according to the permit on file. Spanning 2,100 square feet, the build-out for the fast-food restaurant is slated to begin in September 2024, with an anticipated grand opening that should take place by the end of 2024.
