Fogo de Chão is a renowned Brazilian steakhouse or “churrascaria,” famous for its rich history of blending traditional Brazilian culture with innovative dining experiences. Established in Brazil in 1979, the brand has since become a global phenomenon, offering patrons a taste of Southern Brazil with an endless supply of meticulously grilled meats served right at the table, alongside a vibrant salad bar and authentic Brazilian side dishes. This blend of tradition and hospitality has not only won the hearts of millions worldwide but has also cemented Fogo de Chão’s reputation as a leader in upscale dining.

While the company’s representatives have maintained a tight lid on specifics, stating, “We do not have further information at this time,” the details from the permit on file provide a meticulously planned and executed venture that aligns with the brand’s ethos of quality, tradition, and innovation.

The project outlines a comprehensive demolition and rebuild of an existing free-standing single-story restaurant building. This extensive scope of work includes the addition of a foundation, roof, walls, doors, windows, mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment and systems, all finishes, furniture, kitchen equipment, casework, and hardscape modification, sprawling over an impressive 7,351 square feet.

Currently scheduled to begin in June 2024 and with an anticipated completion date in November 2024, Houston’s Northwest Freeway location is soon to open and provide patrons with a delicious, Brazilian dining experience done like no other.
