“Each opening or market entrance allows us to proudly share our Greek heritage in the best way we know how: through food!” said Nick “Baby Nick” Tsigaris, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Nick the Greek in a statement. “Every item on our menu reflects the authentic Greek cuisine we grew up enjoying, and we feel grateful to have the opportunity to bring Houstonians together at our new Porter restaurant – one pita or gyro at a time.”

Established in 2014 by cousins Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick Tsigaris – all named after their grandfather per Greek tradition – Nick the Greek serves healthy, flavorful and authentic Greek cuisine in a fast casual environment without compromising quality. Drawing from two generations of restaurant entrepreneurship and countless visits to Greece, the street food-inspired menu has flavorful gyro meats cooked in-house on a traditional vertical rotisserie, charbroiled souvlaki skewers, zesty sauces, fresh vegetables and authentic Greek treats including baklava and loukoumades.

“We see huge growth potential for Nick the Greek in Texas, as our existing stores perform extremely well and out-pace expectations, which shows us there’s a strong demand for our authentic Greek street food,” said Komiel Mohsen, Chief Operating Officer of Nick the Greek. “Due to Houston’s diverse culinary scene, we felt this was the right market to introduce our drive-thru format, while also offering a welcoming dine-in environment for guests to sit and enjoy their meal if they prefer.”

Celebrating a decade in business in 2024, Nick the Greek has greatly accelerated expansion efforts over the last three years, adding dozens of new locations and increasing its store count by nearly 100 percent. Today, guests can find Nick the Greek restaurants throughout seven states, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Utah, and the chain is on pace to surpass 90 restaurants before year’s end. The brand has identified key markets throughout the Western U.S. and is seeking franchise partners interested in expanding their portfolios with a progressive fast casual brand on the rise.

Nick the Greek’s Porter restaurant is located at 25806 TX-494 Loop. The restaurant is open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
