M Express Thai Kitchen – the brainchild of restaurateur Lukkaew Srasrisuwan, who launched her Heights Thai restaurant Kin Dee back in 2020 – announced a cloud kitchen located at Fair Food Co., a restaurant co-op that’s modernizing the traditional food hall experience located at 5832 Fairdale Lane in Uptown.

M Express Thai Kitchen is dedicated to delivery and to-go service, utilizing packaging that has been designed to maintain a dishes freshness during travel. M Express is the second concept Srasrisuwan has unveiled this year with the first being MaKiin (pronounced Ma-kin), an upscale Thai concept set to open this summer on the ground level of luxury high-rise Hanover River Oaks at 2651 Kipling Street. Srasrisuwan plans to expand M Express Thai Kitchen with additional locations by the end of the year.

“I am so excited to give Houstonians a first taste of M Express Thai Kitchen’s unique flavors and twist on traditional fast-food items,” emphasized Srasrisuwan in a statement. She added, “I feel that M Express Thai Kitchen represents a wholly unique addition to the vibrant and diverse Houston culinary community, and we are ecstatic to bring a new level of convenience to Houstonians and visitors alike.”

The 13-dish menu features snacks and appetizers such as Shrimp Nuggets, served with sweet and sour dipping sauce; Siracha Wings, topped with Sriracha sauce, green onions, fried garlic, and cilantro; and Crispy Wonton Pad Thai, crunchy pork and shrimp wontons fried to perfection and drizzled with sweet, tangy Pad Thai sauce. Main dishes include the Panang Chicken Club Sandwich with fresh lettuce, tomato, fried egg, American cheese and bacon in Panang curry sauce; the Green Curry Pork Burger, topped with famous “Thai Green Curry” sauce, fresh cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and sauteed kale between a potato or pretzel bun; the Basil Beef Burger, marinated in Thai herbs and topped with traditional “Thai Basil” sauce; a Tofu Satay Wrap with purple cabbage, lettuce, and pickled cucumbers carrots, and Korean radishes; and the Beef Drunken Dog, a twist on the classic loaded hotdog featuring a beef dog topped with stir-fried ground beef, bell peppers, red onion, and a shishito pepper in Drunken noodle sauce sprinkled with deep fried Thai basil. The menu also offers an assortment of savory dips such as peanut dip, siracha dip, lime and garlic dip, and Laab dip.

Guests can place their M Express Thai Kitchen orders how they would like to, when they would like to and through multiple channels. For online orders, guests can order via the M Express Thai Kitchen website or leading food delivery platforms UberEats, ChowNow, DoorDash, and GrubHub. For pickup orders, guests can order via the Fair Food Co. website or on one of the food hall’s touchscreen kiosks. Once the order is ready, Fair Food Co. sends a robot to pick up the order from M Express Thai Kitchen and drops it inside an open locker in the pickup area. Guests will then get a text notification with the locker number and simply tap the “Open Locker” button on their phone – a technologically savvy process to ensure the food will be hot, accurate, secure, and ready upon arrival.

M Express Thai Kitchen is located at 5832 Fairdale Lane at Fair Food Co and will serve lunch and dinner daily. M Express Thai Kitchen will be open Monday – Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. There are 28 parking spaces available to guests in the centrally located food hall parking lot.
