With an eye on expansion, Chef Otto Sanchez has announced plans to open a second Magnol French Baking location at 1115 E. 11th St., a site steeped in culinary history. Reported by the Houston Business Journal, the space has housed an eatery since 1936, adding layers of gastronomic heritage to its walls.

Magnol French Baking, a cherished staple in the local culinary scene, is known for its authentic French pastries and artisan breads. Since its inception five years ago, Magnol has captivated taste buds with a blend of traditional techniques and innovative flavors, all crafted under the meticulous eye of Chef Sanchez. The bakery’s success is rooted in its commitment to quality and authenticity, attracting a loyal following that appreciates the art of fine French baking.

To ensure the new venue meets his high standards, Sanchez has enlisted the expertise of Nicolas Berrais, a seasoned executive pastry chef with over three decades of experience in the French pastry scene. Berrais, known for his creative flair and precise craftsmanship, will lead the culinary team at the new location. His 30 years of experience in the craft will undoubtedly pair together with the ethos of Magnol, only enriching the experience for its patrons.

Magnol French Baking is set to open its doors at the 2,500-square-foot East 11th Street location just in time for the holiday season.
