Neal’s journey to the world of healthy beverages isn’t the typical one. Prior to stepping into the refreshing ambiance of Smoothie King, he was deeply entrenched in the gas and oil industry. While the energy sector seems miles away from smoothie bars, the skills and determination Neal amassed there are undoubtedly valuable in his new venture.

His search for the right franchise led him to explore numerous opportunities. Ultimately, it was Smoothie King that caught his attention and resonated with his personal values. “I like to stay healthy and I do love smoothies. It was one of the things I used in my diet, so I decided to jump into it,” says Neal.

According to Smoothie King’s website, their mission is about more than just smoothies. It’s about inspiring people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. This aligns well with Neal’s own priorities. He isn’t just opening a store; he’s contributing to a movement.

As ambitious as he is, Neal is also strategic. Rather than rushing to expand, he aims to understand the intricacies of his first Smoothie King outlet. “The goal is to learn the business with this one, and then go back and do a three-store contract. Maybe in two years I’ll start looking at that,” Neal revealed to What Now Houston.

This new Smoothie King location in Cypress is expected to open in November 2023.
