Relish Restaurant & Bar is set to open a second location at 12850 Memorial Dr, signaling a significant expansion for the popular dining spot from Co-Founders Addie and Dustin Teague.
Dustin, also the Executive Chef, has a vision for Relish that creates a localized dining experience and resonates with different areas of Houston. “Our idea behind Relish as a concept was one that we could take to multiple different neighborhoods in Houston,” Teague explains. The plan includes up to three additional locations, strategically positioned in communities craving a neighborhood eatery like Relish. The choice of Memorial Drive is personal and strategic for Teague, who grew up nearby and sees the area as an ideal fit.
The new location will not only replicate the beloved Relish experience but also introduce unique elements. Key additions include a select menu expansion, an intimate 8-seat oyster bar, and a spacious private dining area catering to up to 65 guests. The patio, a highlight for outdoor dining enthusiasts, can accommodate 40-50 patrons, and the bar area will feature 24 seats.
This second Relish site, previously a retail space, offers a blank canvas for innovation. The design will incorporate elements from the original location while infusing new design aspects. Highlights include the oyster bar and varied dining room atmospheres, crafted to offer diverse experiences under one roof.
The new building spans approximately 4,855 square feet, with an interior capacity of 190 guests. The addition of the patio increases the potential occupancy to 230-240 guests when fully utilized.
If plans proceed smoothly, the new Relish Restaurant & Bar is slated to open by Fall 2024.
