Orleans Seafood Kitchen opened its second location in Fulshear on August 25, in northwest Fort Bend County at 6230 FM 1463. The Cajun restaurant is owned and operated by Houstonians Chance Comstock and Marcus Payavla, who opened their Katy location in 2008.

Comstock and Payavla met in 1993 while working in a Houston restaurant. They spent the next fifteen years simultaneously learning the restaurant trade from the inside and plotting their dream endeavor – a Cajun restaurant of their very own.

Menu items are the same as the Katy location including Seafood Gumbo, Etoufée, Po-Boys, Char-Grilled Oysters, and Boiled Crawfish when in season. All menu items are original, family recipes from Comstock and Payavla.

While the food menu remains the same, the Fulshear bar menu has expanded with a more robust spirits and wine selection. Orleans’ frozen drinks are a highlight of the beverage menu.

“We’re so excited to finally bring Orleans to Fulshear and open our doors to this community that has already been so welcoming to us,” said Comstock in a statement. “When we opened in Katy over 13 years ago, we never thought about a second location – to be here now makes us incredibly thankful.” Payavla adds, “we wouldn’t be here without the support of our loyal customers and can’t wait to introduce our food to our new Fulshear neighbors.”

Comstock and Payavla worked with Houston-based Batsche Design and designer Dawn Arcieri on the 5,418 sq. ft. restaurant and 1,385 sq. ft. patio. The restaurant seats 120 in the dining room, 56 in the full-service bar and 48 on the patio. Multiple televisions are situated throughout the bar and patio-area. The Orleans team worked with Chris Reyes and Tyler Trevino at SHOP Companies to facilitate the lease of their second location.

Like their Katy location, the Fulshear location is set-up in a counter order format with a full-service bar and patio.
