A Detroit-style pizza restaurant that shuttered its doors in the fall of 2021 will open in Katy this summer. Sapore Detroit Pizzeria plans to reopen at 23455 Kingsland Blvd., Ste. 500 in Katy.
Months after closing it former Katy location, Sapore was able to offer guests a taste of their pizzas by serving some menu items at Pappa Gyros at 21910 Franz Rd. in Katy, according to a post on the company’s Facebook page.
Now, Sapore is working on construction at the new Katy location in hopes of opening in June 2023. A recent project filing states the new 1,300-square-foot location will undergo a tenant build-out before opening to the public.
Sapore Detroit Pizzeria offers a menu of authentic Detroit-Style pizza baked with fresh ingredients and Brick Cheese from Wisconsin in authentic American “Blue Steel” pans. Guests will be able to enjoy specialty 14-inch or 10-inch pizzas. The menu also features appetizers and a variety of pastas, salads, and desserts.
