Venturant Group, the exclusive franchise owner of Shoo Loong Kan in North America, has been instrumental in broadening the brand’s reach. The decision to introduce Shoo Loong Kan to the Houston culinary scene was influenced by multiple factors, as Liang elaborated.

Two of those factors were market analysis and strategic expansion. Prior to selecting the bustling West on West, Venturant Group conducted extensive market analysis, scrutinizing local demographics and consumer preferences. The area’s diversity resonates with the demand for Shoo Loong Kan’s offerings, promising a receptive market for the brand, which is already celebrated as the second top hot pot brand in China. The choice of West on West is a calculated step towards Venturant Group’s goal to expand Shoo Loong Kan’s presence. This location presents an ideal platform to introduce the brand’s localized offerings to Houston’s diverse population.

Local partnerships and support along with a good fit for the brand sold the location at West on West even further. The collaboration with NewQuest, the landlord at West on West, played a pivotal role in Venturant’s decision. Liang credits NewQuest’s support as key in facilitating Shoo Loong Kan’s entry into this prime location, reflecting Venturant’s commitment to fostering strong local partnerships for mutual success. West on West, known for its vibrant Asian culinary enclave, is a perfect fit for Shoo Loong Kan. The brand’s essence aligns with the area’s diverse cultural atmosphere, bringing an authentic slice of Chinese culinary tradition to Houston’s food landscape.

In addition to Shoo Loong Kan, Venturant Group boasts an impressive portfolio. They are the master franchise owner of Ziyan Foods, a public listed company specializing in Chinese cold dishes and street food, set to open its first U.S. location in NYC. Another feather in their cap is Shuyi Tea, a popular boba tea chain with over 7000 locations in China, which is planning its U.S. debut in Houston and NYC.

West on West, a dynamic 90,000-square-foot showcase for international and globally-inspired concepts, will soon be home to Shoo Loong Kan’s new 6,213 square feet location. With existing U.S. locations in Queens, NY, and Chicago, and future sites including Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Dallas, Shoo Loong Kan is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of America’s diverse culinary scene.

As for the opening timeline, Venturant Group targets the third quarter of 2024 for this much-anticipated launch.
