Vero Sade, a Houston-based lifestyle development firm, has unveiled SOSH Coffees + Cocktails, its inaugural café concept located just steps from Buffalo Bayou Park. Pronounced “soash” as an abbreviation of social, SOSH is located at 2221 W. Dallas St. on the ground floor of the recently launched Us Bayou Park and offers dedicated drive-up spots for pick-up for those working in the area, as well as a bike rack geared toward neighbors and park visitors. Cocktail service will begin in late summer.

Current operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 7 am until 1 pm, when SOSH spotlights freshly-brewed coffee featuring beans from small batch Houston roastery, Rivas, juices and specialty beverages such as lattes, Americanos, cappuccinos, espresso and more. Guests can also enjoy hot from the oven baked goods from area vendors like chef Omar Pereney’s Love Croissant, as well as fresh charcuterie plates, pizzas, salads and sandwiches.

Vero Sade collaborated with local luxury design destination CASA Companies, specializing in high-end European furniture and finishes, to bring the space to life. The contemporary bar is adorned with a mix of sleek marble-top dining tables by Sovet and warm wood chairs by MiniForms. To complete the café-cum-bar, all artwork was carefully curated using local Houston artists to amplify the feeling of community that the surrounding Montrose neighborhood is known for. CASA furnished the clubhouse and pool deck with pieces from Italian brands – such as Poltrona Frau, Tacchini, Ditre Italia, and Saba.

While initially focused on daytime service, Vero Sade is actively seeking collaborations with chefs and mixologists for evening pop-up opportunities that utilize the bar area, demo kitchen, resort-like outdoor space with pizza oven and grill, and a private dining room.

“We envision SOSH as an inviting, dynamic place for neighbors, residential members and visitors to connect,” said Dan Bassichis, co-founder of Vero Sade in a statement. “And we are particularly excited about the specialty programming that will further engage and spotlight notable and up-and-coming talent in the hospitality community. SOSH is one of many elements that makes Us Bayou Park unique in the Houston multifamily space.”
