An upscale supper club is in the works for the heart of River Oaks in Houston. Se7en, pronounced Seven, will offer a high-end, glamorous ambiance with Asian-inspired cuisine offering French, Mediterranean flavors. “We are actually trying to hire a Michelin Star Chef,” said Ghassan Elyassir, one of Se7en’s partners.

Se7en will open for an early dinner featuring subtle entertainment, possibly a pianist or saxophonist. Later that evening, Se7en will turn into a lounge for guests to enjoy a few drinks and a music selection from a DJ. Around 11:00 on Friday and Saturday evenings, Se7en’s atmosphere will be high-energy.

“We’ve been in Houston for a long time. Over the weekend, you want to go have a great bite, but then you want to go somewhere after for drinks. There isn’t one place that combines both of them,” said Elyassir.

“We’re really concentrated on making this a very interesting experience for the client. It’s something that you don’t really get in Texas. It’s something you get somewhere abroad, like on a vacation. We’re trying to actually get the feel of a vacation here in Houston,” Elyassir explained. “You go there, you eat, and you stay there for entertainment afterwards.” Se7en will also offer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, complete with entertainment.

This will be the first location for Se7en, but Elyassir and his partners have other concepts in the Houston area and abroad. They hope to hold a grand opening for Se7en at 3300 Kirby Dr., Ste B in Houston this fall. “We’re keeping our fingers crossed with what’s going on with the economy now and with COVID, putting everything back and slowing things down as far as delivery and supplies. But, we are shooting October, November. Hopefully, we can do October for Halloween,” Elyassir told What Now Houston.

Tarek Hassan with Deco Construction Group is the general contractor for the project.
